Chashma Rest House

It was May last year (2012) when me and Qasim visited Kundian, District Mianwali for a tour. The date was 18th when we visited Chashma Barrage and rest house located on the west side of the river. The rest house is built by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Department. Chashma Barrage is a worth visiting place. River Indus is seldom wide as much as it is on this place. One of the largest canal Thal Canal is sourced from Chashma Barrage. Below are some pictures of Chashma Rest House.

Chashma Tour (Part III) – Bilot-Sharif-and-Chashma-Rest-House

On Saturday 29th December, 2012, Noor Muhammad woke us up at around 11’o clock local time and brought us breakfast which included Half cooked Omelette (very delicious), Parathas, Yogurt, Pickle and Tea. We got ready meanwhile driver and Uncle Maqbool arrived. We left around 12:45 PM and reached Bilot Sharif at around 02:00 PM. I got my stomach unsettle a little so I became slower while Qasim and Hasnain got pace to reach the top to see the Kafir Kot ruins, Bolit Fort.

Qasim and Hasnain took some very good shots of each other and as well as Fort. There was a silence matched to rare other occasions in my life. Only wind sound, some vehicle passing through the road 500 meters away and occasionally a voice of shepherd. I was like in some heavenly place apart from my weakness.

Cool wind was blowing and reducing the warmth of sunshine making it difficult to stay on the hills. We took the wrong path climbing the hill but on return we found easy path to return in no time. On the basin there was a superb view I captured of dates, bushes, pool and hill in the back ground. I love this sight the most in my whole tour.

We took some pictures of ourselves, ruins and the valley and around 03:00 PM we left the place. We enjoyed Oranges, Bananas and Apple during the drive and hike. 🙂

We reached to Chashma Lake West Bank to Rest house, went down the stairs to beach (Yeah, I will call that a beach, because it was feeling like I was on the beach.), took some pictures, enjoyed the lake, the sun, the warmth and the cold. And returned back to home.

 

Next day we left for home. It was journey worth remembering and we enjoyed every moment of it. On the way back, we stopped at Sialmor South and took a couple of pictures. I know I am not looking good at all but we were heading home and we were supposed to be in not-our-best-looks. Thanks folks for reading such a long post (consisting of three parts).
